BodyJar and the Bellarine

Over the weekend all 5 of us went for a little tour around the Bellarine Peninsula.
Here we are with Marvyn and Dao overlooking the beach at Torquay.......and this is me reading the paper watched by Graham and Marv at the caravan we stayed in over Saturday night.

We left our bits at the caravan park and went into Torquay for a fabulous fish and chip dinner followed by an ice cream that put Morelli's ices in danger.

At about 9.30 we went over to Geelong to have coffee at "La Parisian" before joining thr crowds (or not!) at "The Ha'penny Bridge" to see Mrav's favourite band BodyJar perform. See pictures above!
The place was barely full and the locals made the Ramsgate bunch look smart and sophisticated! The band were very loud and the accoustics not good, but it was a lot of fun.

Next day after 5 hours sleep;a wash in an insect infested shared shower;and a fab breakfast in the rain we went for a tour around the area. My, it was damp and chilly, though very pretty. It had cheered up a bit in time for the wine tasting; and the wines were good - we bought a bottle for Graham and one for Marv to say thanks for looking after us.

Melbourne Part 1

This is us at the top of Darling Towers looking at the city. It is where Marvyn works as maintainance king!!

Well - here we are in Victoria. Our friend Graham collected us from the airport and took us to the delightful suburb of Richmond which is where Marvyn and Dao live. This is the first time we have met Dao and she made us really welcome - she is utterly gorgeous (and I won't mention the cooking you will be very jealous). We have been pampered and looked after and it is lovely to stay in a home rather than a hotel.

The City.....wow. We really like it. Lots of lovely architecture from modern to deco; nouveau; victorian; gothic. Then there are lovely shops; museums and theatres.
